Corporal Punishment was contemporary since the 10th century BC. Corporal punishment, consequential beating, is a method meant to apply physical agony to a person. Inside households or school sites, it is normally proficient upon adolescents or underage adults. These structures involve spanking or paddling. Lodged in history, it was proceeded on grown ups, usually upon the imprisoned and the disenfranchised. Additional techniques involve caning or flagellation. Corporal punishment can vary on a wide range scale. The scale can fluctuate from domestic, school wise, or judicial corporal punishment. Everyone has different opinions on corporal punishment. Questions vary from should it be legal in modern times or not. But I guess you can say it depends on one’s personal or religious beliefs. For example, domestic corporal punishment is legal in most parts of the world. Some families see this as a way of discipline. But those who are against domestic corporal punishment, claim spanking and other physical punishments to children is child abuse. Although child abuse is taking disciplinary actions on a whole nother level, child abuse is defined as physical maltreatment or sexual molestation of a child. In my opinion, child abuse does not compare to domestic corporal punishment. I believe domestic corporal punishment can be used as a disciplinary lesson to children, if not carried away. On the other hand, we have school corporal punishment. This type of punishment has been around traditionally and religiously. In the old days, the teacher would physically punish the student for misconduct. This was held mostly in catholic/ religious, private, and public schools. Teachers would strike the student with a wooden paddle or yard stick for misbehavior. Nowadays, corporal punishment is banned from most school across the world, yet still allowed in some. As people believed it is the parents job to discipline their child for misbehavior; also known as domestic corporal punishment. Another form of corporal punishment is judicial. This type of corporal punishment is a consequence of a sentence by court of law. The scale can vary from death penalty to whipping; depending on what country and form of government you have. You may just want to ask yourself: should the death penalty be legal? Judicial punishment does in fact depend on the statement given by court. In conclusion, corporal punishment can vary on an abundant scale. From domestic, to school related or judicial, corporal punishment will always have different opinions on different topics. What may be illegal in one country or state, ca, be completely legal somewhere else. Corporal punishment can either be a way of history, growing up, the past, or the present.
